New Executive Director Appointed for Anchor Ministries

It is with great joy and gratitude that the Board of Directors of Anchor Ministries has appointed Sean Nemecek as Executive Director of PIR Ministries, effective July 1, 2025. It is with both enthusiastic thanksgiving for the leadership and legacy of Roy Yanke and holy anticipation for what is next with Sean Nemecek at the helm that we make this announcement.

Dear friends and partners,

After 13 years with this amazing ministry - and the last 9 years as Executive Director - I will be retiring, stepping down from the Executive Director’s role at the end of June 2025. God has been faithful and gracious to allow me the privilege of leading this ministry, and now it is time to commit that work into the hands of the one He has called to be the next Executive Director.

Sean has been serving as a Regional Director for the past 5 years after serving the Church as a pastor for over 18 years. He has been an integral part of the work of PIR Ministries. Sean has demonstrated a keen ability to develop strong relationships with pastors, the PIR Ministries staff, as well as cultivating new ministry partners. He comes to this new role with a wealth of experience that prepares him well to lead us into the next chapter of ministry to pastors. Working alongside Sean has been a blessing and encouragement for me.

As he is preparing to begin his work as Executive Director, Sean wants to share this note with all of you:

“I am deeply honored and grateful to have been chosen to follow Roy Yanke as the next Executive Director for PIR Ministries. This is both an awesome responsibility and an exciting opportunity to carry on the mission of bringing new hope to pastors who are picking up the pieces from ministry pain. My passion is to serve the church by helping pastors be healthy and by helping churches care for their pastors well. With our amazing staff, I believe we will bless thousands and thousands of Christians by caring for one shepherd at a time as we seek the Lord together. Thank you for your prayers and financial support in this important work.”

To ensure a smooth transition, Sean and I will be working closely together over the next 3 months: making introductions, getting him familiar with all the behind-the-scenes workings of the ministry, and making sure the baton is handed off well.

As we embark on this new chapter, all of us on the PIR Ministries team are confident that Sean's leadership will bring new opportunities for our ministry. We ask for your support in welcoming him to this new role and in continuing to partner with us to bring renewal and restoration to pastors and their families.

While I will be “retiring,” my plans are to remain connected to the ministry and to care for pastors as opportunities arise. As we often say to pastors, the shape of the call may change, but the call remains. You can be sure, however, that I will savor the newly abundant opportunities to spend time with Deb, play with Strider in the yard, read books just for fun, go to the zoo with my grandkids, and maybe even revisit a few hobbies.

Thank you for your continued partnership with PIR Ministries, and for all the kindness you have shown to me. To God be the glory - great things He has done and will continue doing!
